Natural Wonders of New Zealand

24 days from £6,895 per person
Departing: Oct 2026 - Mar 2028

Out of all the many reasons to visit New Zealand, surely the most compelling is to experience its natural beauty and unique environment. New Zealand’s remoteness and relatively small population means so many of its landscapes are unspoilt, its air is crystal-clear, and its wildlife is diverse and plentiful.

Our Natural Wonders of New Zealand tour showcases the diversity of both North and South Islands, with a focus on exploration that celebrates New Zealand’s unbeatable surroundings. We cruise the sheltered waters of the Bay of Islands, traverse the Southern Alps, walk sections of the celebrated Milford and Kepler Tracks and hope to encounter whales, dolphins, seals and a host of birdlife.

Freedom Days allow you to pursue interests of your choosing, and there is also a choice of included activities in several places we visit; whether it be kayaking on a stunning lake near Franz Josef or exploring Doubtful Sound. To fully appreciate the natural beauty of New Zealand, many places are only accessible on foot, meaning this itinerary is perfect for keen walkers and those who like to keep active.

Did you know...

Despite now being one of New Zealand’s most dramatic landscapes highlights, Milford Sound remained hidden from early European explorers thanks to its narrow entrance, they sailed right past it unaware of the immense fjord hidden within, yet today it reveals extraordinary natural phenomena. Its remote location and surrounding peaks also create some of the country’s darkest skies, where the Milky Way shines with remarkable clarity.

Natural Wonders of New Zealand

Extremely well-organised, very interesting and a great way to see New Zealand. If you like escorted tours this is ideal. Coach captains loved their jobs and their country, couldn’t do enough for us.
