Did you know...

Perched dramatically on a cliffside above the Paro Valley, at an altitude of around 3120 metres, Tiger’s Nest Monastery is one of Bhutan’s most iconic sights – and one of the world’s most precariously located monasteries. According to legend, Guru Rinpoche, who brought Buddhism to Bhutan, flew to this spot on the back of a tigress, and meditated here for three months, giving the monastery both its name and its deep spiritual significance.
