The Galápagos Islands located 600 miles off mainland Ecuador, is one of the world's most distinctive natural environments. Shaped by fire, ocean and time, this volcanic archipelago inspired Darwin's theory of evolution and today is home to stark lava landscapes, turquoise bays and remarkable wildlife. This is a rare opportunity to experience one of the planet’s most fascinating and untouched destinations.
From the intriguing islands of the Galápagos to Ecuador’s historic cities, snow-capped volcanoes and cloud forests, this captivating country offers a journey of remarkable contrasts, enriched by its vibrant indigenous traditions.
Our journey begins in the Andes Mountains, where we discover the beautifully preserved streets of Quito, the country's historic capital, and the colourful markets of Otavalo. From standing on the equator and exploring the unique landscapes of Mindo Cloud Forest and Cotopaxi National Park, to spending time with indigenous Kichwa communities, our time in Ecuador helps us to gain a deeper insight into Andean heritage and cultural traditions.
At the heart of the tour is a seven-night cruise through the Galápagos Islands, exploring this celebrated archipelago in depth as we sail between islands, secluded bays and coves. With each landing, discover landscapes shaped by volcanic forces and encounter a unique variety of endemic wildlife, from giant tortoises and marine iguanas to colourful seabirds and inquisitive sea lions, many found nowhere else on Earth.
