South Australia’s premier nature-based tourism destination, Kangaroo Island offers a full day of exploration, wildlife and rugged Australian landscapes. We make an early start, with a scenic coach journey to Cape Jervis taking in the picturesque Fleurieu Peninsula with its vineyards, coastal views and rolling hills. On arrival, we board the Kangaroo Island ferry for the 45-minute crossing to Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island.

We begin with a visit to the Seal Bay Conservation Park where we are taken on a beach walk with an experienced guide to see a colony of rare Australian sea lions as they play and relax on the sand.

After a 2-course lunch at Vivonne Bay Bistro, set in a beautiful Australian bushland setting, we spend the afternoon at Flinders Chase National Park. If we're lucky we may get to see some of the park’s native animals such as kangaroos, wallabies, koalas or echidnas. This protected sanctuary covers some 326 square km and features some of the Island’s best known natural habitats.

Explore the rugged coastline’s Remarkable Rocks, with great photo opportunities and stunning sea views, and the Admirals Arch, where the boardwalk takes us down a rugged cliff face to reveal this spectacular rock archway, a natural nursery and safe haven for playful Long-nosed Fur Seals that can be seen resting, swimming and playing in the waves or on the rocks.

At the end of our day we return to Penneshaw for the return journey back to Adelaide.
