City to Sea Wildlife Cruise

Travel by coach from Dunedin along the scenic roads of the Otago Peninsula to Wellers Rock Wharf. From here, cruise out through Otago Harbour towards Taiaroa Head, home to the world’s only mainland breeding colony of royal albatross.

Watch these large seabirds glide in from the ocean and soar above their hillside nesting sites, while keeping an eye out for other marine and birdlife along the coast. The one-hour cruise may also offer sightings of sea lions, blue penguins, dolphins and other marine mammals before returning to Dunedin by coach.
