Visit Sulphur Mountain, named after the naturally occuring hot springs that were first discovered by indigenous people in the late 1880s, to soak in the relaxing Banff Upper Hot Springs which have provided a soothing escape to locals and tourists for over 100 years. The geothermal water bubbles up from three kilometres below the earth’s crust creating mineral-rich plunge pools, surrounded by Banff’s moutainous backdrop.
What to bring: Water bottle, sunscreen, sunglasses, swimsuit (mandatory). Towel and swimsuit rentals are available on site.
