Discover the many uses of bamboo on a half-day trip from Luang Prabang to the Bamboo Experience Centre, a family-run project preserving local traditions and promoting responsible tourism. Nestled amongst the rice fields and green hills, you’ll take part in a hands-on bamboo weaving workshop, creating a personal souvenir while learning about the plant’s cultural significance. Next, we take part in an interactive cooking class, preparing and enjoying traditional Laotian dishes served on bamboo mats.

The experience concludes with a lively performance by a local Hmong group, featuring traditional songs and dances using bamboo instruments. This immersive journey highlights the versatility of bamboo and offers a unique insight into rural Laotian culture.
