CRM Manager – HubSpot

About the role

An experienced and commercially driven CRM Manager, specialising in the HubSpot platform, is required for this exciting role with Distant Journeys.

Keen to progress their career in the travel industry, this role will report to the Head of Marketing and work closely with the Marketing and Sales teams and wider business.

The CRM Manager will oversee all CRM activity including email marketing, marketing automation, lead nurturing, database management, reporting and customer journey optimisation, ensuring alignment with business objectives and sales targets.

As CRM Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic development and day-to-day management of HubSpot across the entire portfolio.
You will focus on optimising the customer lifecycle from lead generation through to post-travel engagement, ensuring all communications are targeted, relevant and performance-driven.
You will have an excellent understanding of marketing automation, data segmentation, lead scoring and pipeline management, working closely with Sales to improve lead quality, conversion rates and overall customer experience.
Highly analytical with exceptional attention to detail, you will use data-driven insights to inform strategy, improve campaign performance and maximise ROI. You will also work closely with the Head of Marketing, Digital Performance Manager and Engineering Lead to ensure seamless integration between CRM, website and other marketing systems.
- Own and manage HubSpot as the central CRM platform, ensuring best practice configuration, integration and optimisation
- Develop and implement the CRM and customer lifecycle strategy to drive lead generation, conversion, retention and loyalty
- Build and optimise automated workflows, nurture programmes and lead scoring models
- Create and manage segmented email marketing campaigns to maximise engagement and revenue
- Oversee database management, ensuring data accuracy, compliance (GDPR) and best practice governance
- Work closely with Sales to align marketing and sales processes, improving pipeline visibility and lead handover
- Monitor and report on CRM KPIs including open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, pipeline performance and revenue

- Conduct A/B testing and continuous optimisation of email campaigns and automated journeys
- With support from the Engineering Lead, manage integrations between HubSpot and other systems including website, booking systems and third-party tools
- Provide insight and reporting to senior stakeholders, making strategic recommendations based on performance data
- Manage external agency relationships where required
- Support wider marketing initiatives and cross-channel
  campaign activity
As the CRM Manager, you will be highly analytical, detail-oriented and commercially minded. You will be passionate about customer experience and understand how to use CRM and automation tools to drive measurable business growth.
In addition to this we’re looking for someone with the following experience and qualities:
- At least five years’ CRM or marketing automation experience, ideally within the travel industry
- Strong hands-on experience with HubSpot (Marketing Hub and Sales Hub essential)
- Proven track record of building and optimising automated workflows and lifecycle campaigns
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with solid knowledge of reporting tools, Excel and data analysis Experience managing and segmenting large customer databases
- Commercially astute with a results-driven mindset
- Experience working closely with Sales teams and aligning marketing and sales processes
- Understanding of GDPR and data compliance best practice
- Budget management and project management experience
- Team player with a proactive approach and the ability to use own initiative
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
